The goal of the book is about how to become a successful affiliate so in the next few sections I describe a variety of ways that you can find targeted readers and how to put your message across.

If you run an Ezine or have some other form of mailing list you will know that when you personally endorse a product to your readers it has more power than any ad.
Here's an example of a short write-up you can use in your ezine or mailing list: a little more 'hyped' than my usual style - just edit it as you see fit.

What is the most common question from newbies ?

And an excellent starting point, before they have the knowledge to develop their own product, is to join an affiliate program.
You can tell them that there are thousands of affiliate programs they can join at ClickBank and that this book is a complete guide to selecting and promoting a successful program, with unique tips to put them ahead of other affiliates.
And where do you find these newbies with their questions ?
Just keep an eye out in the online marketing forums, newsgroups, ezines and so on.
How often do you see an ad in an Ezine, typically from the publisher, promoting an affiliate program with an Url like this

Maybe you can tell the affiliate that you were tempted to buy the product but steal his commission by using your own nickname.
And tell him that this is just one of 5 ways he can lose his commission - described in the book.
